Happy Monday, crafty friends!
I’m so excited to be back today sharing a new project for the Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight, featuring the adorable Holiday Reading stamp set!
The Holiday Reading set is just perfect for all the book lovers out there. It’s full of cozy illustrations and heartwarming sentiments that capture the magic of reading during the holidays. Whether you’re creating cards for your fellow bookworms or simply celebrating a quiet winter day with a good story, this set brings all the cozy vibes!
I started by preparing my card panel using the Turn The Page - Creative Cuts. I die-cut the piece from watercolor paper and softly ink-blended the background with Distress Oxide inks in Shaded Lilac, Milled Lavender, and Tattered Rose. This combo gives such a soft, dreamy look — perfect for a peaceful reading scene!
Next, I stamped the images from the Reading Tree set using Shachihata Ink on marker-friendly paper. Then I colored them with Ohuhu Honolulu markers, keeping the tones warm and gentle to match the soft background. Once everything was colored, I used the coordinating creative cuts to die-cut all the images.
I arranged the little readers, cats, and stacks of books to form a sweet, story-filled scene and adhered them to the card front with foam tape for dimension. Finally, I added a few white paint splatters ( I used Posca White Acrylic Pen) and some clear gems for a touch of sparkle.
For the sentiment, I used “The stories we create become the memories we keep” — one of my favorites from the Holiday Reading set. It fits perfectly with the open-book design and the cozy reading theme.
I really love how this card turned out — it feels soft, nostalgic, and perfect for the season. I hope it inspires you to create something warm and heartfelt with your own Mama Elephant Holiday Reading set.
